Olympic Flags
On Friday Room10 got together with their buddy class Room 3.
The children buddied up and together they choose their country. They looked up the country's flag on the computer. It required lots of measuring and careful colouring in.

Technology
The children in Room 10 wanted to design a system that would encourage everyone at school to put their food scraps into the worm buckets and reduce the amount of rubbish.
Problem: How can we get the children to put the right food scraps into the worm bucket?
First, we needed to find out what worms like to eat.
Next we decided we would stick some pictures on the bucket of the foods the worms like to eat.
Problem: We needed to find a way to stick the pictures to the buckets.
We tested lots of different materials to find which one would hold a picture on.
We left the buckets outside for a week in the sun, rain and wind.
We found that insulation tape worked the best.
We covered the bucket with pictures then covered the bucket with sticky plastic and taped it all on with insulation tape. We hope this will work! We will check the buckets after a few weeks to see how well the insulation has worked.
Finally we presented our finding in our Junior Assembly.
We made posters to help remind everyone to put the correct scraps in the worm buckets.
